ARI Quiz 2.8.2 is available. New version contains the following features:

* Improved menu creation for Joomla! 1.5
* Update modules 'Top Results' and 'The Latest Results'. Now these can select results from specific categories.

ARI Quiz is a Joomla quiz component which provides ability to create various tests to evaluate respondent's level of knowledge. It can help organizing quizzes on your Joomla site. It contains many settings and can be configured for your needs. You can successfully use it both for creating big quiz system on your Joomla site or simple quiz with several questions on your site.

The main characteristics of ARI Quiz are:
* allows to create tests using access rights for users
* provides statistics of test results
* allows to group tests via categories
* provides number of predefined types of questions
* versioning: after you have modified test's questions old information is preserved
* unicode support
* question templates support
* supports CSS templates for quiz
* ability to create templates for result pages, emailing results, print versions
* export to CSV, HTML, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel format
* supports Joomla SEF
* comes with built-in ARI I18N support, which means that you can easy internationalize your component, change messages of the user interface and create different locales.
* supports AJAX making the component more fast and powerful. AJAX technology lets user to pass test without page reloads - component will update all the page stuff itself
* ability to randomly select number of questions from question-pool or use them in queue
* comes with built-in Windows-like calculator
* includes question bank. It contains questions that can be added to quizzes. If you change question in question bank all the changes are applied to quizzes that are created on basis of these question.
* detailed answers statistics
* processing question content with mambots (plugins). (Experimental feature)
* mail templates
* result scale (administrator can set up ranges for scores of passing test. In accordance to these ranges text template, print template and mail template can be set).
* import / export possibilities
* supports events
* can work with AlphaUserPoints component
* supports sh404SEF component with help ARI Quiz plugin for sh404SEF
* allows to copy the questions and quizzes and to move questions
* supports bulk edit

* can show user quizzes results in Community Builder user profile

ARI Quiz contains 4 modules:
* Last result: shows N results of last passed tests
* Top result: shows N best results of passed tests
* User last result: shows N results of last passed tests for logged user
* User top result: shows N best results of passed test for logged user

ARI Quiz works in Joomla 1.0.x and Joomla 1.5 Native; in Mambo 4.6.2.

I was looking for some component for my photographic school (for pre-tests and quizes). I found several and asked them for help. First of all was ARI Soft who answered my email, so I took their component. Right now I am still exploring it, but support from ARI Soft is really great. I cannot say anything wrong. According to component, right now it do what I need. Will see later ;)

We've long-use Ari-Soft's Quiz product and we LOVE it. Quiz has met and exceeded all our needs, and the Ari-Soft support had been outstanding. Today we loaded the newly released Quiz version 2.70 and we are extremely pleased. The new version 2.70 adds the very useful feature of "bulk-adding" existing questions to a newly created exam, and this is a real time-saver. Additionally, version 2.70 of Quiz boasts improved performance and believe me, it is noticeable. I highly recommend Ari-Soft and their outstanding products - to include Quiz. Truly a great product that comes backed with world-class support.
