Facebook Comments

Product Description:

This plugin displays the Facebook Comments widget on your site and allows your users to post comments on your articles to your site and to Facebook.  This version DOES NOT work with JFBConnect.  If you are using JFBConnect please use the version listed under JFBConnect plugins.

Currently there is no backend comment management.  This plug in requires that the JFBConnect login module NOT BE published on the pages you want the comments widget displayed on.  Several display options have been enabled but CSS support is not in this version.  It should be in the next version.  Guest on/off is configurable through the comment box admin panel that is accessable from the frontend.  Easy to configure what catagories you want to display the comments box in.

Version 1.2.0

• Changed the XID from using the URL (the default) to using the article ID.  This was done to ease support for SEF URLs and to allow for creating a back end component for managing all comments for the entire site.
• UPGRADING TO THIS VERSION WILL CAUSE YOU TO LOOSE ALL PREVIOUS COMMENTS. This is because of the inherent limitations in the Faccebook Comments widget itself, not the FBComments plugin.  The is caused because of the change to the XID. If you need a version that corrects the Joomla 1.5.10 display issue but still used the default URL as the XID let me know and I will get you one.

Version 1.2.1

• Fixed the J1.5.10 fix.  In the orgional release of FBComments 1.2.0 the frontpage display was corrected but I missed the Catagory Blod display pages.  FBComments 1.2.1 has both the Frontpage and catagory blog displays set correctly now.
